INTRODUCTION

The incorporation of dye molecules into leukocytes or other cells is important in photodynamic therapy (PDT) applications [1-4]. In clinical medicine, irradiation by visible or near infra red (NIR) light application on various cells is used in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures. PDT is an indirect treatment: the photosensitizers first are applied to the sample and following illumination usually produced singlet oxygen that acts efficiently on the cells.
